Thyroid with increase of the anterior-posterior and
lateral diameters and shortening of the longitudinal
diameter; very echopoor structure, also in relation with the
sternocleidomastoid muscle, pseudonodular, with echogenic
bands due to fibrosis.
Serious hypothyroidism with
strongly positive thyroid peroxidase antibodies.
